this week room 5 literacy class have been reading and doing Tongan stuff for Tongan language week .
Room 3 has been learning about Ratios this week . Ratios is a amount, or size between two or more things : proportion.
This week were learning a play and the play is called A sticky problem and my role was Assistant elephant curator and the play was about a elephant .
Team 5 has been doing fractions for maths . This is one of our maths activity’s for this weeks maths .
This week we learnt how to get the average of team 5 students hand span. To get team 5 students hand span we used a ruler and measured our hands, from our thumbs to our pinky. We then need to add all the measurement up, get the total and then divide it by how many students hand spans I collected to get the average.
this week we watched a long movie it was how kids lived in NEPAL . they highlighted some of the challenging most the children face . in Nepal school starts at 10:00 they wake up around 6:00 a clock to help there family’s do the children and do farming , helping with the garden and also getting ready to go school . to get to school they have to go down a big hill and cross a dangers river . to get across the river they have to go in a basket to go a cross to the other side .the little kid have to go in the basket well the older kid go on top to posh the basket .it takes them 2 hours to get to school after they cross the river .when the get to the other side they wait at the side of the road to get picked up by someone .
